Six In-House Disciplines, One Accountable Contractor
Major works do not fail on the tools, they fail in the gaps between consultants, installers and certifiers. Safe QLD holds all six disciplines in house, so the design intent that leaves our drafting room is the same intent that gets commissioned, certified and handed over.
Design & Engineering
System design developed against the NCC, the relevant AS standards and the fire engineering brief, coordinated with fire engineers, hydraulic consultants and certifiers.
Drafting & Planning
Full drawing sets, hydraulic layouts, block plans and shop drawings, planned around structure, services coordination and the construction programme.
Project Management & QA
A single project manager, ITPs and hold points, site inspections, RFIs and progress reporting that a head contractor can actually build a programme around.
Specialist Installation
Sprinkler and hydrant pipework, pumpsets, detection, EWIS and panel programming installed by our own licensed installation crews, including staged and live-site works.
Methodical Commissioning
Full flow and functional testing, cause and effect proving, interfacing to lifts, doors, dampers and mechanical, then witness testing with the certifier and the client.
Service & Maintenance
The building rolls straight into an AS 1851 maintenance program on handover, with the asset register already built from the as-installed documentation.
New Builds, Major Upgrades and Works on Live Buildings
Not every project can be done between eight and four on an empty site. A good deal of our installation work happens in operating hospitals, cold stores that cannot be defrosted, childcare centres, storage facilities and occupied high rise, where isolations, staging and back-out plans matter as much as the pipework.
- New build fire system packages, from sprinkler and hydrant mains to detection and EWIS
- Pump room and booster upgrades where flow testing shows the supply is short
- Panel and detection replacements staged floor by floor to keep the building occupied
- Fire system rectification following audits, defect notices and insurer reports
- Special hazards and gaseous suppression, including marine engine bay systems
- Night and weekend works, with isolations managed and reinstated the same shift
